A Europe became the second region in the world, after Latin America, to surpass the 250,000 mark killed by COVID-19, according to a Reuters count made on Saturday (24).

The continent has also registered records of infections from the disease in the last two weeks.

On Thursday (22), 200,000 daily infections were reported for the first time in the region, and many countries in the south of the continent registered their highest number of daily cases this week.
