> Restaurants, beach huts and hotels:
Closing of restaurants, beach huts, food courts and shopping center restaurants, self-service stores at 10 pm

Prohibition of parties, of any kind, in restaurants, beach huts, hotels and other establishments in closed and open environments;

Limitation of 6 people per table in restaurants and similar, with a limit of 50% of its maximum capacity. It is forbidden to stand, even on the sidewalk, and wait on the sidewalk.

> Shopping centers and shops on the main street:
Authorized operation from 9 am to 11 pm, maintaining the closing time of the food court and restaurants at 10 pm and the occupancy limit of 50%;

Limitation of parking lot occupancy in shopping centers to 50%, and prohibited spaces must be demarcated and inspected;

Electronic control at the main entrances of the shopping centers, informing, through panels, the maximum number allowed and the number of people in the place at that time;

Inclusion of the number of clients, employees and other employees present simultaneously at the maximum capacity of each establishment, in a shopping center or main street.

> Events and areas of common use:
Suspension from 12/15/2020 to 04/01/2021 of any social and corporate event, private or public, in open or closed environments in the State;

Prohibition of parties in common areas of any condominium, residential, recreational and mixed;

Limitation of the maximum capacity for residential parties, in each unit, to 15 people, including residents and employees. In the case of condominiums, the maximum capacity of the units must be listed in a place where the tenants can be easily seen;

Prohibition of the celebration by public entities of New Year’s Eve parties (December 31), except in an exclusively virtual medium.

New year-end decree in Ceará: understand the changes

Shopping centers and retailers can, if they wish, extend their opening hours, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., with a 50% occupancy limit. According to the text, it is necessary to “include the number of customers, employees and other employees present simultaneously in the maximum capacity of each establishment, in a shopping center or main street.”

Social, corporate, private or public events are suspended for the duration of the decree. Parties will also be prohibited in common areas of condominiums, residential and mixed. Residential meetings are restricted to 15 people, including residents. Public entities are prohibited from holding New Year’s Eve celebrations at the turn of the year, unless it is exclusively in virtual media. In hotels and inns, the maximum number of people in rooms is 3 adults or 3 adults and 3 children. The hotel sector must obtain the Leisure Insurance Seal in advance, to be requested from Sesa, subject to compliance with the 80% capacity limit.

Failure to comply with the measures of the decree may result in sanctions. If after the evaluation, the establishments violate the rules again, a new report will be made and the operation of the place will be prohibited and prohibited for seven days, returning only with a favorable inspection opinion.

The measures were announced by Governor Camilo Santana (PT) on the night of Friday the 11th, to prevent agglomerations and stop the increase in contamination by Covid-19, which has been noticed in Ceará since October, especially in Fortaleza, where the average also the number of deaths was modified, with the possibility of an increase.
