EMTU (Empresa Metropolitana de Transportes Urbanos) reported the expansion of departures and fleet lines in Greater São Paulo.

The largest offer is for the cities of Itapevi, Santana de Paraíba, Osasco, Barueri, Embu-Guaçu, Cotia and Vargem Grande Paulista.

Southwest region:

In Embu-Guaçu, Cotia and Vargem Grande Paulista, in the southwestern region, the extension is on the Saturday tables of three lines, with the new schedules coming into effect from November 28, 2020.

The services are 226, 506 and 509, in charge of the Intervias Consortium. There are four more vehicles in operation and 43 new departures, benefiting 3,500 passengers per Saturday.

Line 226 connects Embu-Guaçu with São Paulo; 506 runs between Cotia and São Paulo; and the 509 connects Vargem Grande Paulista with Cotia.

West:

In Itapevi, Santana do Paraíba, Osasco and Barueri, in the western region, the increase in the number of departures is effective from Thursday, November 26, 2020, according to EMTU.

There were five more buses, offering 34 new departures on business days, on five lines: 085, 202, 230, 463 and 833, serving 7.5 thousand passengers a day.

Line 085 connects Santana de Parnaíba with Lapa, in São Paulo. The 202 service goes from Osasco to Pirituba, in São Paulo. Line 230 runs between Barueri and Osasco; 463 connects Itapevi with Santana de Parnaíba; and 833 leaves Itapevi towards Santana de Parnaíba.

In both the West and Southwest regions, the increase in fleet and travel is due to the fact that EMTU’s monitoring teams see increased passenger demand.
