Emergency Cash Withdrawal Begins Today | Brazil and politics

The release of cash withdrawals from emergency aid begins today for workers born between January and March who received the deposit in Caixa’s digital social savings account, opened specifically for this program.

Without the possibility of withdrawing until this week, these beneficiaries had the limitation of only being able to make transfers and payments through the Caixa Tem application.

Caixa reported that the social savings account, which restricts withdrawals to the following calendar, was opened for those who did not provide bank details at the time of registration or who were outside the bank.

Account holders at Caixa, Banco do Brasil or other banks can normally withdraw from ATMs at any time after receiving assistance. There is no need to follow the calendar.

But those who depend on the social savings account, should pay attention to the cash withdrawal schedule:

  • April 27: born in January and February, with free digital savings from Caixa
  • April 28: born in March and April, with free digital savings from Caixa
  • April 29: born in May and June, with free digital savings from Caixa
  • April 30: born in July and August, with free digital savings from Caixa
  • May 4: born in September and October, with free digital savings from Caixa
  • May 5: born in November and December, with free digital savings from Caixa

Withdrawals will be made in lotteries and ATMs and do not require the use of a physical card. An access code will be provided for withdrawals, reports Caixa.

Through the app Box have, the beneficiary will have the option of “withdrawal” once the withdrawal has been settled. The user must choose the amount they want to withdraw. Right away, the application will generate a code that must be entered at the ATM or presented to the lottery.

Caixa reminds that, even those who cannot make withdrawals, can make up to three transfers (TED or DOC) free for a period of 90 days to any other bank account.

However, there are reports on social networks of difficulties in performing these functions through the application. Many are eager to have access to cash.

Payments for the second installment of emergency aid are also scheduled for Monday. Although several beneficiaries have complained that they have not yet received the first installment, neither the government nor Caixa announced changes to the second monthly payment schedule.

Workers registered in the Cadastro Único and informal, self-employed and individual microentrepreneurs (MEI) who registered through the website or the application for emergency aid born between January and March should start receiving on the 27th.

The president of Caixa had announced an advance. But the government returned and kept the payment schedule below:

  • On the 27th, the money of those born in January, February and March will be deposited;
  • 28 is the time for those born in April, May and June;
  • On July 29, August and September they receive birthdays.
  • On the 30th, the payments will be for those born in October, November and December.

Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família still receive the first installment and will have to wait a little longer to receive the second.

Payments are divided into three groups of workers:

  1. For Bolsa Família beneficiaries
  2. For those who registered through the website or the official application of Emergency Aid
  3. Those who were already in the Single Registry before March 20 (for whom the second installment will be advanced)

Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família receive the first installment until the 30th of this month, according to the official schedule of the program that obeys the last digit of the NIS. So far, those with a final NIS number from 1 to 5 have already been paid. The following payments will be made in this order:

  • Monday (27): Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família whose last digit of the NIS equals 7.
  • Tuesday (28): Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família whose last digit in the NIS equals 8.
  • Wednesday (29): Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família whose last digit in the NIS equals 9.
  • Thursday (30): Beneficiaries of Bolsa Família whose last digit of the NIS is equal to 0.

The second delivery will only be received in the last 10 business days in May. And the third is scheduled for the last 10 days in the last business days of June, also according to NIS.

The third and last installment of R $ 600 or R $ 1,200 (for mothers who are heads of household) will be paid in May for the workers who were in CadÚnico and those who registered through the application or the website.

  • On May 26 the money of those born in January, February and March will be deposited.
  • May 27 is the time for those born in April, May, and June.
  • On May 28, birthdays will be celebrated in July, August and September.
