Emergency Aid in 2020 was one of the measures adopted by the government with the greatest positive impact on the population. Thanks to the assistance, many families were able to support themselves in a period of crisis.

However, since the payments ended on December 29 and with strong political pressure to resume payments, the federal government is now studying the possibility of a new release starting in March.

However, as everything indicates in this new remittance, the claim for payments will be different in addition to the reduction of the benefit amount, which must be R $ 250, the government also intends to reduce the list of beneficiaries with the adherence of new criteria. .

There is still no definition about the number of installments or value, what we have are assumptions that the benefit will be paid in four installments referring to the months of March, April, May and perhaps June, as mentioned above, with a value of R $ 250.

Regarding the beneficiaries, the estimate is that only the beneficiaries who are entitled to receive will have access to the new fees. Last year, approximately 65 million people had access to the R $ 600 quotas and 57 million people accessed the R $ 300 residual quotas.

Now the government’s estimate is that approximately 33 million people will be considered as new payments, in addition to the 14 million already included in the income distribution program, Bolsa Família.

In order to reduce the number of beneficiaries, some criteria have been listed, such as the one listed below for the screening of citizens who will have access to the benefit.

Therefore, citizens who receive:

  • Pension
  • Retirement
  • Assistance benefit
  • Unemployment insurance

Warning! Citizens who have an active employment relationship are also banned from the new payment

Comb-Fine Database

The new government platform used to create the comb combines information from 11 databases to verify the status of the beneficiaries. Among the 11 databases are: CAGED, INSS, MEI, CNIS, among others.

To access the data, only the beneficiary’s CPF is needed, where the platform is capable of verifying if the beneficiary is an official, businessman, military, retired or pensioner, in addition to being able to verify who are the dependents declared in the income tax .

After granting the aid, the government intends to expand the use of this platform and apply it in employment and income distribution programs.
