At the end of Monday afternoon (4), Caixa Econômica Federal (CEF) represented more than 3 million emergency aid payments made through private banks. Although these banks, such as Bradesco, Itaú and Santander, did not act directly in the operation so that the money reaches the beneficiaries, within the Caixa Tem application, the user can choose to transfer the amount of R $ 600 (or R $ 1,200 ) to your checking account at a variety of banks. The point is that, if the disclosure is clear, the operation has scared some account holders, who do not see the money fall into the indicated account and, of course, also discover that they have a savings account linked to the checking account.

It happened to Thamires de Sá, 25, unemployed, after more than two weeks of waiting for the benefit that scared her. “I did the operation for the checking account, but when it fell, a message came from the bank saying that the money had been transferred to another account, in this case, a savings account, which I didn’t even know,” he says.
As a Bradesco customer, he transferred R $ 600 of the digital savings created by Caixa in the Caixa Tem application, intended to pay overdue bills, through the checking account, through the Bradesco banking application. He failed to. He had to go to an agency, withdraw the money and deposit it in the checking account. “I didn’t even know I had savings at Bradesco and, through the app, I couldn’t transfer the savings to the checking account or make payments directly from the savings,” he says.
The practice has been common to banks, arguing that money is placed in the savings account to avoid discounts on debts in case of receiving assistance from the current account, which is already prohibited by the Provisional Measure to create aid.
According to Bradesco, customers have the Bradesco Easy Conta, which allows you to use checking and savings account types with the same number and the same debit card.
“The amount of the Emergency Aid is credited as a free balance in the Conta Fácil Bradesco savings account, so that the resources are not consumed to settle the debits already programmed in the current account.”
Banco Itaú has done the same. “In Itaú, the savings account already exists for all clients, linked to the current account and this does not cause any expense for the client. In this case, the bank client does not need to take any action to receive the amount. Assistance emergency is credited to that savings account precisely so that there is no discount for the customer, who can use the amount they prefer (withdraw, pay bills, transfer, etc.), “says the bank in a note.
As for Santander, the bank guarantees that emergency aid from the federal government is deposited without any discount on the amount. “A savings account linked to your checking account is created automatically. This is a way to prevent the amount from being used to pay the debts programmed into the checking account. As soon as the amount is credited, the client receives information from the Bank on resource is released for withdrawal or transfer. ”
Although banks create accounts and perform the transfer operation when the aid is paid, they cannot charge clients fees for opening and maintaining a savings account. This is prohibited by the Central Bank.
By accessing the Caixa Tem application, the beneficiary of emergency assistance will have access to a menu of options to manage assistance. The following will be listed: withdrawal without card; transfer money; Emergency help; Virtual debit card, make payments and statements.
By clicking on the option “transfer money”, the user will be taken to a chat. There, the number of the digital savings account created by Caixa will be displayed. The user must choose the “continue” option, then choose the bank where he maintains the checking or savings account to which he will transfer the amount. You will need to enter the branch number, after the account without the digit, and then enter only the digit and the full name of the account holder. After that, it is possible to verify the information provided and generate a receipt.
With the instability in Caixa’s applications, many people have stopped accessing at night or at dawn. In the case of transfers, it is worth remembering that in the case of Caixa, for example, the broadcasting schedule and programming of the transfer through DOC is 7 a.m. at 8:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. The TED issuance schedule follows the BC rule, that is, until 5 pm on business days.
