The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro arrested, this afternoon, the daughter of drug trafficker Elías Maluco. She and another colleague were arrested in flagrante delicto for drug trafficking in Estrada do Capenha, in Jacarepaguá.
At the place where the two were arrested, the police found a laboratory of homemade skank, a drug made with cannabis and a higher concentration of psychoactive agents. The couple was sent to the 56th Comendador Soares Police District, in Nova Iguaçu.
The police did not release the names of the detainees. According to the head of the 56 DP, delegate Mário Omena, they do not have a job and do not study, remaining without declaring their income.
The delegate stated that the drug is expensive and would justify both the investment made by the couple in the equipment found at the site, and the fact that they were able to stay without legal work.
The Civil Police reported that the investigations began after agents discovered the sale of the drug in the Comendador Soares region.
Considered one of the main drug traffickers in Rio, Elias Pereira da Silva, known as Elias Maluco, was found dead on September 22 in his cell in the Federal Penitentiary of Catanduvas, west of Paraná. The death certificate, to which Twitter had access, indicated that he died as a result of mechanical asphyxia, hanging and compression of the neck.
Elias was sentenced to 28 years and six months in prison for ordering the murder of journalist Tim Lopes in 2002.
