The main electricity sector associations criticized, in a note, the decision that dismissed directors of Aneel and ONS due to the blackout in Amapá.
“The removal of the respective boards brings regulatory and operational risks to the Brazilian electricity system, in addition to disturbing the process of reestablishing adequate conditions for the supply of energy to Amapá.”
The note was released by the Forum of Associations of the Electricity Sector, which brings together 26 associations of companies that operate in the generation, transmission, distribution and sale of energy, as well as equipment manufacturers.
“The zero priority in this case is to restore normal supply conditions to the State of Amapá, which is being done with effort and dedication by both ANEEL and ONS. The investigation must be a subsequent action, “said the entity in the note.

NOTE TO THE PRESS
FORUM OF ELECTRICAL SECTOR ASSOCIATIONS – PHASE
The Forum of Associations of the Electricity Sector – FASE, an entity that groups 26 associations that represent all the links of the value chain of the Brazilian Electricity Sector, from the generation, transmission, distribution, commercialization and consumption of electric energy, as well as the chains Production of electrical and electronic devices comes to argue and express itself on the decision of the Federal Court of Amapá to remove for 30 days the boards of the National Electric Power Agency – ANEEL and the National Electric System Operator – ONS.
Recognizing that judicial decisions must be complied with and not disputed, remember that the zero priority in this case is to restore normal supply conditions to the State of Amapá, which is being done with effort and dedication by both ANEEL and ONS. The investigation should be a follow-up action. The removal of the respective boards brings regulatory and operational risks to the Brazilian electricity system, in addition to interrupting the process of reestablishing adequate conditions for the supply of energy to Amapá. Therefore, in the interests of the proper functioning of the sector, FASE hopes that this situation will be reversed as soon as possible.
