The determination of the face-to-face elections in the Basque for this Saturday, defined in a last-minute decision made by judge Camilo Ruliére on Friday night, upset several currents of the club. Two of the main actors in Vasco’s politics, candidate Jorge Salgado and Faues Cherene Jassus Mussa, president of the General Assembly, are mobilizing to interrupt the elections, which began at 9:55 am on Saturday.
Mussa called for a reconsideration of the decision made on Friday night and said there was not enough time for the elections to take place on Saturday. Jorge Salgado prepares a lawsuit before the Superior Court of Justice (STJ).

According to Alexandre Campello, Mussa’s request delayed the start of the voting, which was scheduled for 9 a.m. this Saturday. The first vote took place shortly before 10:00 am.
The election was scheduled for this Saturday after Ruliére postponed the action of candidate Luiz Roberto Leven Siano and Roberto Monteiro, president of the Deliberative Council of Vasco. This decision annulled a court order favorable to Mussa, who had scheduled the elections for the next 14; this would only be done over the internet.
When approached by the report in São Januário, Mussa declined to comment, saying that legal matters related to the elections are under the responsibility of his lawyers.
