The former president of the Chamber Eduardo Cunha (MDB) was sentenced, by the 13th Federal Criminal Court of Curitiba, to 15 years and 11 months in prison for passive corruption and money laundering in the case of payment of an undue advantage in supply contracts . They are a Porsche Cayenne S, a Ford Edge V6, and a Ford Fusion AWD GTDI. These costs will be reversed in favor of Petrobras.
In a note, the defense of the former deputy warns that he will appeal the decision.

Currently, Cunha is serving a sentence in the home regime, granted due to the new coronavirus pandemic. He has been in preventive detention since October 2016. In March 2017, he was sentenced to 15 years and four months in prison by then-judge Sergio Moro, in a closed regime, for crimes of corruption, money laundering and exchange evasion.
