The candidate of the “Belém de Novas Ideias” coalition (PSOL, PT, PCdoB, PDT, PCB, Rede and UP) is contesting the Municipality of Belém for the fifth time. He was mayor of Belém between 1997 and 2000, being reelected from 2001 to 2004, and has also had three terms as a state deputy and two as a federal deputy.
