Duílio Monteiro Alves will be the president of Corinthians in the 2021/22/23 triennium. The candidate of the situation won the dispute in a vote of the associates, this Saturday, in São Jorge Park, in the dispute that Augusto Melo and Mário Gobbi Filho still had.
In total, 2,873 members participated (eight of them sub judice). The final result, considering all the votes, was the following:
- Duílio Monteiro Alves: 1,081 votes
- Augusto Melo: 939
- Mário Gobbi Filho: 783
- White clothes: 56
- Null: 14

Voting took place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the clubhouse, but the count went on overnight.
Together with Duílio, the 31st different president in the history of Corinthians, they come to the club for the positions of vice Elie Werbo and Wagner Alcântara.

From the same political group as Andrés Sánchez, the new president takes office on Monday, January 4. The day before, Corinthians visit Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque, in a match valid for the 28th round of the Brazilian Championship.
He will be the successor to Andrés, who won a second São Paulo championship (2018/19) in management.
Duílio Monteiro Alves is 45 years old, an entrepreneur in the bar and restaurant business, and began his life at Corinthians in 2009, when he was cultural director. He is the son of Adilson Monteiro Alves, one of the creators of Corinthian Democracy, in the eighties.
The new president became deputy director of football in 2011, leaving office in 2014, a period in which he joined the board of directors in the conquests of Brasileirão (2011), Libertadores (2012) and Club World Cup (2012). He returned to the club in 2018 and remained until September as football director.

In addition to winning the presidency, Duílio Monteiro Alves’ group obtained a majority in the Deliberative Council, with four of the eight lists elected. See the plates:

Who were the competitors?
In addition to Duílio, delegate and former club president Mário Gobbi Filho and former businessman Augusto Melo competed for the elections.
Mario Gobbi, 59, is the chief of police and will retire at the end of the year. He held the position of soccer director between 2008 and 2011. Later, he was elected president, in command of the club between 2012 and 2015. In the period, he broke with his old allies, mainly with Andrés Sánchez.
Augusto Melo, 54, is retired and was a textile entrepreneur. He was an advisor to the base categories for Corinthians between 2015 and 2016.
