In operation in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, the Federal Police (PF) arrested a candidate for councilor for practicing electoral crime by playing “santinhos” in the street. According to the Federal Police, a drone captured the exact moment when the politician distributed pamphlets and asked for votes, which is known as ballot boxes.
The Federal Police intensified the inspection in the vicinity of the electoral zones this Sunday (15) and, after the detection of the crime through the aerial device, federal police officers were summoned who traveled by car to the place.
The drone images provided by the PF show the candidate Jorge de Nona Jesús (PSD), in the middle of the street, delivering the electoral propaganda and, moments later, they capture the moment when a vehicle of the federal police arrives, approaching him.

After confirming the fact, the authorities took the candidate to the Federal Police Station in Santos, where the case was registered and is still under investigation.
According to the PF, the conduct of the legislative candidate is classified as a crime by Brazilian law. For this reason, the candidate was charged with the crime and will respond to the Electoral Justice, in freedom, for the nature of the crime.
TO G1, the candidate stated that he prefers not to comment on the case and that he has already activated his defense, to resort to judicial means.
