The rain that hit Belo Horizonte, in the early morning of this Thursday (31), surprised the drivers who were passing through the main avenues of the capital. Many of them sought refuge in a gas station on Avenida Pedro II, in the Northwest Region, from there was the formation of hail.
According to the Civil Defense of Belo Horizonte, isolated rains can occur throughout the city, with lightning and gusts of wind around 45 km / h. The forecast is that the weather will remain unstable until 11:00 p.m. this Thursday.

The Civil Defense also made recommendations:
- Have a planned and safe place where you and your family can stay in the event of hail storms;
- Do not stay in open areas such as soccer fields, tennis courts, and parking lots;
- Don’t stay high on hills, on top of buildings, towers of telephone lines and electricity;
- Never shelter or park under trees;
- Try to park in a safe and covered place.

In the neighborhood of Lourdes, in the Central-South Region, residents were without power on Rua Aimorés, between Avenida Bias Fortes and Rua Curitiba. The supply was also interrupted at Rua Bernardo Guimarães. According to Cemig, there was an incident on the power grid. According to the company, the restoration of the service is scheduled for 9:24 p.m. this Thursday.
The forecast is that the temperature does not exceed 22º C, in Belo Horizonte. On January 1, the expectation is that the day dawns sunny, with the possibility of rain in the afternoon and at night. The maximum, in the capital, can reach 29º C. In the rest of the state, the weekend should be moderate rain.
