After suffering an accident and spending almost 40 hours isolated on a cliff on the shores of the MG-190, between Monte Carmelo and Iraí de Minas (MG), a truck driver asked for food and water when he was found by a police drone. Information is from G1.

“Wow, thank goodness! Give me water, I’m very hungry, get me out of here, don’t let me die! I’m glad he’s arrived, ”said Francisco Erlando Evangelista Cavalcante, 34, who was rescued on Monday (7).

According to the Military Police, the victim had been missing since Saturday (5), when he left Coromandel at night and did not return home. The family registered the disappearance and searches began in the region.

With the help of a company specializing in drones, the police tracked the region and the truck was seen lying on the shore. Teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called and found that Francisco was still alive, despite almost 40 hours in the place.

Francisco was rescued to a hospital in Monte Carmelo and later transferred to the Hospital de Clínicas of the Federal University of Uberlândia (HC-UFU). According to the health unit, the state of health is stable.
