Double payment! See if it is possible to accumulate INSS benefits

[ad_1]

The rules about accumulation of benefits National Institute of Social Security (INSS) were modified with the entry into force of the Pension Reform. Before, for example, it was possible to receive two pensions for death, now only in some situations. But after all, in which cases is accumulation still allowed?

Under the new rules, the insured can receive at the same time two pensions INSS, provided that they are granted under different social security systems. The same is true of the death pension plus retirement. However, it is important to note that the concession depends on when the benefits were requested.

Cases where accumulation is allowed

The INSS beneficiary can receive two pensions together, as long as they are granted in different social security systems. For example, if a teacher works in a private school and is also a public official, he can retire through the INSS and the corresponding social security system of the municipality or state where he is an official.

In addition, it is allowed to accumulate a pension for death + retirement. In this case, the insured will receive in full the benefit of highest value, and only a part of what is less. The percentage will be calculated on a scale of reductions, divided by income ranges, limited to the minimum wage.

A pension for death resulting from a spouse or partner from a social security scheme + another pension for death from another scheme or pensions combined with current military activities may also be received jointly. Another case is the rural retirement age + pension for the death of an urban worker.

Cases where accumulation is prohibited

  • Sickness benefit + retirement;
  • Maternity wages and sickness benefits;
  • Retirement subsidy and benefits;
  • Two death pensions left by a spouse, children or parents.
  • Unemployment insurance and other social security benefits, except death or accident assistance.
