Despite the bitter defeat against Atlético-MG this Saturday night, at the Neo Química Arena, Corinthians did not have a negative balance on the 21st day of Brasileirão. Vagner Mancini’s team was helped by other results and managed to stay in the middle of the table.
With 25 points, Alvinegra’s team continued in eleventh place in the competition: six wins, seven draws and eight losses. The direct competitors in the fight to escape the relegation zone, Atlético-GO, Ceará and Fortaleza did not win their respective matches.
Thus, the São Paulo club will not lose more positions until the end of the round, which ends on Monday, with matches between teams that are also at the end of the table – look down.
Now, Corinthians will have time to recover until the next match, which will take place on the night of Sunday 22, at 8:30 p.m., against Grêmio, again at Neo Química Arena, for Brasileirão.
