Edilson da Silva, 47, was admitted to the João XXIII Emergency Room, in the capital, after being transferred in the Arcanjo helicopter of the Fire Department. The accident occurred on Tuesday night (22).
“I think more inspection is needed. When the union receives complaints, it is brought to the attention of the Ministry of Labor. In 18 months we had five deaths in steelworks in Sete Lagoas,” said the president.
Silva’s body was sent to the Medical Legal Institute (IML) in Belo Horizonte, and there is still no information about the funeral and burial.
The report of TIME he contacted the telephone company of the steel mill where the victim worked, but was informed that the director who could speak about the case was not present.
