Palmeiras began to suffer from the new coronavirus this week, after the match against Vasco, in São Januário. The first positive case was that of Luan, a winger and was cut off from the duel against Ceará for the Copa do Brasil on Wednesday.

With mild symptoms, Luan is isolated in a hotel, since he also decided not to expose relatives of the risk group. The defender will return home only after being discharged and returning to training at the Palmeiras Football Academy.

The second case occurred on Thursday night. Summoned to the Brazilian team, Gabriel Menino tested positive at Granja Comary and returned to São Paulo to fulfill his isolation.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and Palmeiras decided that the winger / midfielder should return by car, with a driver and a security guard who have already cured the disease.
