Noting the growth in the duo’s number of video calls, Google decided to increase the number of participants. As of now, the app accepts up to 12 people. It was also revealed that in the coming weeks, up to 32 users will be allowed.
Another announced feature is the ability to take photos during calls. Thus, people can record moments during conversations with just a touch of the screen. The framed image is shared with the call participants.

Also influenced by the increased use of Duo’s quick messaging tool, the app decided not to delete messages after 24 hours. Now people can save messages that they consider very important.
According to Google, users in regions affected by social detachment are making extensive use of this feature. In this way, the company encourages users to send personalized messages to friends and family in this phase of isolation.
