The motorsport world applauded Lewis Hamilton today. The Briton from Mercedes won the Portuguese GP and became the most victorious driver in the history of Formula 1-92, surpassing the mark of Michael Schumacher.
Even the rivals surrendered to the feat of the six-time world champion. The driver earned praise from opponents and even from McLaren, the team with which he debuted in the category in 2007.
“I told him before the race that he should get to 92 [vitória]. He did that. Although it always looks easy from the outside in a car like this, what Lewis accomplished here today is impressive, “said Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.
