Santos announced on Tuesday night that he recorded 13 more positive cases of Covid-19 among players (seven) and coaching staff (six) in tests carried out previously. Now there are ten cases in the cast.
Check the list of recently released infected viruses:
- Alison (steering wheel);
- Alex (defense);
- Jobson (flyer);
- Diego Pituca (steering wheel);
- Sandry (fly);
- Jean Mota (midfielder);
- Vladimir (goalkeeper);
- Cuquinha (Cuca’s assistant, who had been in charge of the team);
- Eudes Pedro (Cuca’s assistant).
Before them, Coach Cuca, goalkeeper João Paulo, defender Lucas Veríssimo, right-back Madson, goalkeeping coach Arzul, soccer coach Jorge Andrade and doctor Guilherme Faggioni they had also tested positive for Covid-19.
In the women’s team, there is also a Covid outbreak: there are 22 infected players and only seven are available. Santos requested a postponement of the match against São José, for Paulistão, scheduled for this Wednesday.

Santos would have the week off to prepare for the match against Inter, on Saturday, in Vila Belmiro, but was hampered by cases of coronavirus in the squad and had to cancel training this Tuesday as a precaution. Preparation should start just this Wednesday, at CT Rei Pelé. The club, of course, does not rule out asking for the game to be postponed.
Since the start of Brasileirão, Santos had had few positive cases of Covid-19 in the team, only forwards Kaio Jorge and Raniel. The situation worsened this week.
In addition to those infected, Santos will not have Soteldo, called up by the Venezuelan national team, against Inter.
Santos FC reports that, after new COVID-19 tests, this Tuesday (10) seven more players were diagnosed with coronavirus. They are: Jobson, Alex, Jean Mota, Vladimir, Diego Pituca, Alison, Sandry, as well as six members of the technical committee, among them the assistants Cuquinha and Eudes Pedro.
All are isolated and will be in charge of Santos FC’s medical department, as well as Lucas Veríssimo, Madson and João Paulo.
