This Friday (20), Belo Horizonte come to 52,352 cases confirmed from COVID-19. The number represents a difference of 271 new diagnoses in relation to the previous survey, published this Thursday. The report published by Belo Horizonte City Council (PBH) it also indicates 13 more death records than yesterday’s bulletin. Throughout, 1,610 people they have already lost their lives in the capital due to the disease.
Still in relation to deaths, 894 men lost their lives, while 716 women were victims of COVID-19. There are still 95 investigation deadlines, one less than the index published Thursday.
Beds showed different occupancy behaviors in this Friday’s bulletin. This is due to the fact that the demand for places in intensive care went from 35% to 37%. Nursery units, however, fell slightly, from 35.6% to 34.2%. At the beginning of the week, the rates were 31.8% and 29.8%, respectively.

Transmission speed
The transmission rate, also known as Rt, after starting the week at the highest rate recorded since the beginning of July, fell again this Friday. Depending on the city, the level is 1.09. In the second, it was 1.13. That is, at present, 100 infected people can transmit the disease to another 109.
On Tuesday, Rt fell to 1.12, hitting 1.10 on Wednesday. That Thursday, the index was at 1.10. Remember that the parameter goes to the yellow phase, the intermediate phase, starting at 1.
