A couple was arrested in São Paulo on Thursday night (3), suspected of being involved in the bank robbery in Criciúma, in southern SC. Along with the prisoners, explosives similar to those used in the attack and rifle ammunition were seized.

According to information from G1, the arrest took place in Campinas, following an anonymous complaint. The woman allegedly admitted to the police her participation in the crime. Messages found on the suspects’ phones would also have confirmed the link between the two suspects and the attack. A third was not found, also from Campinas.

The vehicle would have been refueled at a Campinhas gas station and the credit card used to refuel the car was seized this Thursday afternoon at a business premises owned by the couple.
Nine more prisons
Until the morning of this Thursday (3), at least nine people had been arrested in Rio Grande do Sul, suspected of being part of the gang responsible for the great assault.
