A couple was found dead inside their home in Itaim Paulista, east of São Paulo, this Tuesday morning (29). Upon arriving at the scene, the military police found Iara’s body on a bed and Jefferson’s body near the sofa in the living room. Initially, the prime minister said that the couple had been dead for 20 days. But both were spotted at a neighborhood street market last Sunday. The couple lived in the back of the home of Jefferson’s parents, who traveled on Sunday. Upon returning, they found their son and daughter-in-law dead.

The children were not removed until the arrival of relatives who found the bodies. Later, an aunt took them to a hospital in the region for tests. None of them showed signs of aggression.
The neighbors told the Record TV that the couple did not often fight and Jefferson had lived in the region since he was a child. The place is preserved for the investigation of the Civil Police. The police report was registered with the 67th PD (Itaim Paulista).
Correction: The initial version of this report wrongly stated that the children would have spent 20 days with the bodies of their dead parents at home. The bug has been fixed.
