BRASILIA – The number of people diagnosed like new coronavirus not Brazil rose to 105,222 and the total deaths it reaches 7,288. The data was released by the Ministry of Health on Monday afternoon. In the last government balance, on Sunday, the total number of infected people reached 101,147, with 7,025 confirmed deaths.

According to the ministry’s balance, the number of cases grew 4%, with 4,075 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. Deaths increased by 4%, with 263 new deaths recorded Sunday through Monday.

Typically, data released on Mondays is less than available during the workweek because teams that update disease data in the states work at a reduced rate on weekends and holidays. Deaths and cases recorded over the weekend can still be counted by the Ministry of Health in the coming days.
The five states with the highest number of cases are: São Paulo (32,187), Rio de Janeiro (11,721), Pernambuco (8,863), Ceará (8,501) and Amazonas (7,313).
The states with the highest number of deaths caused by Covid-19 are: São Paulo (2,654), Rio de Janeiro (1,065), Pernambuco (691), Ceará (691) and Amazonas (585).
The ministry also reported that 43.5% of those infected to date, that is, 45,815 people, are recovering, while 49.5% are being followed. Another 6.9% represents deaths. There are still 1,360 deaths under investigation.
