Matchday 13 of the Brazilian Championship came to an end this Sunday night with Atlético-MG’s victory over Vasco, in Mineirão. And Corinthians, even with a frustrating draw with Red Bull Bragantino, have reason to celebrate.
That’s because all the teams behind Timão in the competition did not win. Botafogo and Coritiba tied, while Bahía and Goiás lost. Thus, Dyego Coelho’s team remained in 14th place, with 14 points added.
However, the situation remains very delicate. Only two points separate Corinthians from Coritiba, the first team in the relegation zone of Brasileirão, it is worth mentioning that there are six points difference for G6.
Coelho’s men return to the field next Wednesday, at 7:00 p.m., against Santos, in Neo Química Arena. Corinthians need a win to postpone the bad phase and distance themselves from the ghost of Z4 in the championship.
