Corinthians Sunday ended with regrettable scenes at Guarulhos airport. Disgusted with the results and the last performances of the club, some fans protested energetically and intimidated the athletes upon arrival after losing to Fluminense, by 2 to 1. In an official note, the club regretted what happened.

In the note, the club does not say anything about the possibility of registering a police report to try to identify those involved or anything like that, as some fans had been charging on social networks.
The club also highlighted the confidence in the athletes, especially because of the victorious past of some within Corinthians: Cássio, for example, was one of the names collected by those present in the airport lounge.
“The moment demands tranquility, work and co-responsibility. We have full confidence in the group of players that we form. We know the character and professionalism of these athletes, the achievements of which many have participated in the most difficult situations this year.
