With the elimination in the Copa do Brasil in the past, Corinthians returned to the field this Sunday to try to continue the reaction of the last rounds of the Brazilian Championship. However, on an uninspired night of performance, the team drew 1-1, with a goal from Fábio Santos on a penalty.
The result places Corinthians in ninth place, with 25 points earned so far. The distance to the relegation zone increases to six, but there are still a series of games left for the last teams: there are teams with up to three fewer games.

Right at half-time, Vagner Mancini made his first change: Xavier, yellowed, left the pitch to make room for Gustavo Silva, putting more speed on the team for the final stage.
In his first move, Mosquito took advantage of the speed on the wings to reach the bottom and hit the area with danger, requiring the intervention of goalkeeper Jean. After six minutes, Timão arrived with more danger, in a strong kick that stopped in the hands of Jean.
Better in the game, Timão arrived again in the nine minute and Fagner was brought down inside the area. In the penalty, Fábio Santos was right to tie the match.
With Atlético threatening to grow, Mancini moved twice more: Camacho took the place of Gabriel, also yellowish, and Everaldo took the place of the discreet Otero. In the sequence, Everaldo went to the bottom and crossed for Luan, who found Davo well in the middle, but the submission was blocked.
After that, the game started to stop well in midfield. To try to change the scene, Léo Natel took over from Davo in the 37th minute.
However, it was Atlético who threatened. At 41, Maranhão hit very hard from outside the area and Cássio only saw the ball go out next to his goal. Three minutes later, Éderson entered Ramiro’s place.
