Corinthians Feminino press Ava / Kindermann, but does not leave 0-0 in the first final

Corinthians were superior and had the highest number of scoring chances on Sunday night in Florianópolis, but failed to score zero in the first leg of the Brazilian women’s final. Even with the good performance of the attack, the team lost the chances of scoring and came out with a 0 to 0 from Ressacada.

The result means that Timão only needs a simple victory to claim the national title in the second leg. The duel is only scheduled for December 6, at Neo Química Arena. The next ten days will be from Date-FIFA.

  • Without much time to rest, Corinthians already have another decision ahead. On Friday, at 7pm (from Brasilia), the Alvinegras host Santos for the return of Paulista’s quarterfinals. Along the way, Timão thrashed 5-2.

Instead, the rival went to the field with Barbara; Bruna, Tuani, Siméia and Thaini; Camila, Kah, Duda and Julia; Catyellen and Lelê.

The game

First time

The initial stage started with great intensity on the part of Corinthians, mainly in the pressure marking the ball outside Avaí. With a lot of speed, betting mainly on Adriana’s 1 against 1, on the left. It was she who created the big chances for Corinthians in the early stages.

After Grazi could not finish off a good pass from Gabi Zanotti, the forward did all the work, cleared the mark and reached the small area. When he caught the eye of goalkeeper Barbara, he rolled towards Grazi, with an empty goal, but the experienced Coritnhiana hit the ball badly, sending it out.

Timão followed with Adriana and, in a new attack, ended up creating a clear opportunity with Gabi Zanotti. The midfielder, however, ended up kicking for having to accelerate the movement, pressured by the brand. It was the Corinthians bombing, without result on the scoreboard.

Calmer after the pressure, Avaí left behind around 25 minutes and began to annoy Corinthians with the long ball. Giovanna Crivelari turned yellow for committing a hard foul at the entrance of the area and the locals seemed to believe it was possible to face Timão.

Until the break, the teams fought more for possession in the midfield that managed to overcome the rival defenses, keeping the score 0-0.

Second time

The Corinthians team returned to the final stage looking to lighten the team on the court. Grazi stopped mounting both for the attack and retreated to the frame in an attempt to push Avai back again. The hosts, however, took a chance on the counterattack and almost opened the scoring with a strong kick from Lelê, defended by his namesake.

Arthur Elias then decided to give more speed to the attack, sending Gabi Nunes and Victoria Albuquerque to the places of Grazi and Yasmim, leaving Tamires to make the left side of the team.

The team was slow to get going, but after 30 minutes, he became the owner of the game. Vic called for responsibility and became Adriana from that phase of the game, dribbling the opponents and breaking the opponent’s lines.

Timão set a strong pace in the final minutes and saw Gabi Portilho win several in the individual duel on the right. The last one at the crossing left for Adriana inside the area. The forward dominated and kicked hard, but was caught at the last minute by the mark.
