Last Saturday, Duílio Monteiro Alves was elected the new president of Corinthians. In addition, the election also defined the new Deliberative Council of the club, which has a mandate from January 2021 to December 2023.
In the Corinthian elections, eight slates were chosen: four from the situation and four from the opposition. That is, of the 200 elected to the Deliberative Council, 100 are from the situation boards, while another 100 are from the opposition – see distribution below.
It should be remembered that the Deliberative Council is the part of the club responsible for supervising the performance of the board. In addition to studying statutory changes and investigating irregularities, he is, for example, who approves or disapproves of the club’s financial status.
There are also around 130 lifetime advisors in the club. Thus, life will be essential in votes such as the balance of the club itself. The opposition and situation slates, in turn, will have to go after the life advisers to try to be the majority in the club’s votes.
