Corinthians is in the semifinal of the Brazilian Women’s Championship. Timão beat Grêmio this Monday, at Neo Química Arena, by 2 to 1, and secured the classification for the next stage, in which he will face the rival Palmeiras.
Corinthians’ goals were scored by Gabi Zanotti and Tamires, both in the first half. Eudimilla exchanged for Grêmio.
In the final stage, Timão had the opportunity to extend the penalty, but Gabi Nunes wasted it.

The first Derby to qualify for the final will be this weekend, at a date and time to be determined, under the command of Palmeiras. Team with the best campaign in the first phase, Corinthians will decide the place at home, in two weeks.
The victory over Grêmio was the third match for Timão’s women’s team in Itaquera.
Corinthians returns to the field this Wednesday, against Juventus, on Rua Javari, for the Paulista Championship.
