According to the material released by the ministry on the day of the delivery ceremony, the work received investments of R $ 40.67 million from the federal government.

The two boxes fell around 9 a.m. in a 20-minute interval between one another. One of the boxes was completely on the floor and the other was resting on top of one of the buildings.

Residencial São Roque is a work of the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” program. Of the 14 blocks of the condominium, the two affected are prohibited.

Residents of the affected blocks went to their relatives’ home on Wednesday night. Another 15 families received homes from the construction company and were transferred to a hotel in Grande Vitória.

The Ministry of Development (MDR) pointed out that “as soon as it learned of the collapse of two water tanks in the Residencial São Roque urbanization, it requested measures from Caixa – responsible for contracting and monitoring the aforementioned work.”

Also according to the ministry, the technical teams of MDR and Caixa ”are working together with the construction company responsible for the work, for emergency assistance to families, the rapid investigation of the causes of the collapse, as well as the presentation of solutions that will be used to restore infrastructure. ”

According to the Municipality of Cariacica, the project is the responsibility of the Federal Government, since it is part of the “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” project. The work was carried out by Cobra Engenharia.
