The Americana store will comply with a judicial decision that forced the store to operate for 10 hours, respecting the yellow phase of the São Paulo Plan.

The hours suggested by Acia (American Commercial and Industrial Association) will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays. Until then, the store opened its doors from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the year-end calendar.

The entity guaranteed that it will respect the judicial decision, issued on Wednesday, and that it annulled the authorization of the Americana City Council to operate the business for 12 hours.

In consultation with merchants in the central region, 64% opted for the 10 am to 8 pm hours. This is the time suggested by Acia to stores to try to unify the service and make it easier for the consumer. However, the stores will have autonomy to set the hours, provided they do not exceed the maximum limit of 10 hours.

The new opening hours will take effect this Thursday and the stores will close at 8:00 p.m.

On weekends the operation continues from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays, since it does not exceed the maximum limit of 10 hours a day.
