A Civil defense Minas Gerais warned this Sunday (3/1) about a temporary that will reach at least 29 cities that are in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte and in the Central and Western regions of the state. The storm will reach the cities of Betim, Brumadinho, Cachoeira da Prata, Caetanpolis, Esmeraldas, Forest, Fortuna de Minas, Igarap, Inhama, Itatiaiuu, Juatuba, Wonders, Mateus Leme, Ona de Pitangui, Loros, Par de Minas, Paraopeba, Pequi, Rio Manso, So Jos da Varginha and Sete Lagoas.
The Civil Defense warned that throughout the week time will be unstable throughout the state due to the presence of atmospheric areas throughout the country. As in January, the sky is cloudy, with the possibility of rain in the afternoon and evening, when there may be lightning.
During this period, the recommendation of the authorities to avoid flood areas and do not travel in areas subject to flooding, do not shelter or park vehicles under trees, do not go near broken power lines and do not use electrical equipment in case of lightning. In addition, bathers should double their attention in case of overflows of rivers and waterfalls.
New alert
Subsequently, Civil Defense issued another alert, valid for five more cities, at risk of new storms, lightning and gusts of wind: Conselheiro Lafaiete, Itaverava, Queluzito, Santana dos Montes and So Hnas do Suau.
In Lafaiete, the collapse of a house on Saturday night (2/1) left four people homeless, according to information from the Civil Defense. None was injured. They were transferred to the homes of relatives after refusing to go to the city hall shelter.
