The Blumenau City Council announced on Monday the 12th that face-to-face classes in the municipal education network will resume from October 26. The definition came after a meeting between the mayor of the city and members of the collegiate body, who organized the calendar until December, in accordance with ordinance 778 of the State Government, which determines the return of classes to the regions that are in the “High” risk level.
Despite the return of face-to-face classes, the classes that use the Google Classroom platform and the physical material will continue until the end of the year.
The city also pointed out that in order to guarantee a safe return to school for students and teachers, the Municipal Committee for Return to Classroom Classes was created, which has the function of preparing the Municipal Contingency Plan for Prevention, Monitoring and Control of diffusion. Covid-19, and School Commissions, which have the autonomy to define how, when and how they rotate.
Face-to-face pedagogical activities
For parents who want and choose to have their children face to face, the face-to-face pedagogical activities return on October 26, gradually, beginning with the last years of each stage of basic education. In order to comply with the State’s determinations, the refund will be staggered, with a duration of four hours, beginning with the last years of primary and infant education, in addition to Youth and Adult Education (EJA).
In addition, classes will be divided into groups according to the number of students enrolled to return to classes, to avoid crowds and comply with sanitary regulations.
On the 26th, the EJA students, in the ninth and fifth year of primary school, begin, as well as the preschool children of the first group. On November 3, students who started classes the week before will only do non-classroom activities. Back to the classroom
students from the next group and eighth and fourth year students, in addition to the second class of preschool. That way, new classes of students will be included every new week.
Private education network
The Municipality will grant autonomy to private institutions to define the best way to return to classes according to the needs of each institution and its school community, following the laws of the state government.
Delivery of school meal kits
The City Council informs that deliveries of the School Food Kits will continue for all registered students, even for those who return to attend classroom classes.
