The child model Emilly Dias, 14, has been missing since yesterday morning, in Itanhaém, on the coast of São Paulo. The case was registered as kidnapping and private prison and is being investigated by the Civil Police. The Guardianship Council is also monitoring the case.
According to the family, there is still no information about what may have happened to the girl. The model boy’s mother, Dayane Dias, reports that around 4 a.m. yesterday, she and her husband woke up to the bark of the family dog. When they got up to see what was going on, they found the kitchen door open, with the handle on the floor, and Emilly was no longer in the residence.
“We heard the dog barking and then Emilly screamed for help. When we got up and went to the bedroom, she was gone,” says Dayane.
Still, according to the family, when they ran onto the sidewalk, they saw a car heading toward the beach. Security camera footage from a home about 200 yards from the family’s California garden residence shows a car driving down the street and parking in front of the family’s home.
As it was dark and due to the distance, you cannot see what happens. Since then, the family has had no further information about the girl’s whereabouts. The family also claims that the time recorded on the security camera, shortly after midnight, is incorrect.
“Every minute that passes tightens my heart, because I don’t know what could happen. If we are going to find her soon, if we are going to find her alive. It is the worst moment of my life,” says the mother of the teenager.
Shortly after the girl’s disappearance, the family went to the police and a police report was recorded. In an attempt to find the daughter, the family spread posters with the girl’s photo around the city and launched a campaign on social media.
“Emilly was always a quiet girl and would have no reason to run away from home. As far as we know, she didn’t have a boyfriend either. We think someone took her,” adds Dayane.
As a baby, Emilly began acting as a model and actress. At the age of one, he participated in the telenovela María Esperança, screened by SBT. Later, Emilly pursued a modeling career by advertising for various brands and companies.
