The draw for the knockout stages of the Champions League took place today at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The most anticipated duels are Barcelona vs PSG, in a match between Messi vs Neymar, and Atlético de Madrid vs Chelsea.
The 16 clubs qualified for the knockout phase were divided into two pots. Pot 1 finished in the top eight in the group stage. Pot B had runners-up from the groups, including Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid.
At this stage, clashes between clubs from the same country were not allowed, nor were duels between teams that had already met in the group stage.
The first leg of the round of 16 will take place on February 16, 17, 23 and 24, and the matches will return on March 9, 10, 16 and 17.
