If we already suffer from a simple fall of a cell phone, imagine if it fell from a plane? This is what happened to the environmentalist Ernesto Galiotto, last Friday (11). But what was surprising was the result of this story: the device came out almost unscathed and recorded the entire fall!
The documentary maker flew over Praia do Peró, in Cabo Frio (RJ), celebrating the renewal of the International Blue Flag Seal, which recognizes the environmental quality of the beach. At one point, Ernesto took out his cell phone to film the place and play with friends about the flag not flying yet. However, while holding the device in one hand, the smartphone slipped.
The scene was recorded by another camera from the cockpit of the plane. At the time of the “disaster”, the environmentalist says: “We are here looking for the Blue Flag”. Until the cell phone went with the wind … The pilot also regretted it. “One more … it happens”. What nobody expected was that the free fall – of about 15 seconds – would be registered by the iPhone 6S.
Luckily for him, Ernesto managed to get the device back the next morning, Saturday (12), thanks to GPS tracking. According to him, the cell phone had only broken the protective film on the screen and was working normally. “In 15 seconds he [o aparelho] hit the ground. It was about 200 meters from the water and a few meters there was a couple on the beach. It fell at 11:10 am on Friday. He fell with the screen down and was filming an hour and a half “he told G1. Wow!!

After all, the cell phone still had a battery after the “rescue.” “I think the sun recharged it because when we arrived to recover, it was still 16% charged on Saturday around 8.50 am”Galiotto said. “I had faith that I was going to get it back. I thought, ‘If it didn’t fall into the water, we’ll find it.’ A few meters could have hit a person and with that height that was flying, from a thousand feet, it would be a tragedy, can you imagine? But there was no tragedy, there were many emotions, as Roberto Carlos says “he joked.
Even flying over the region for 26 years, Ernesto was also surprised by the unusual ending to his story. But he remembered that he would not give up on retrieving the device. “It’s something that if you tell someone, they don’t believe you. It was a God to help us! At the moment, I even said a bad word, but then I thought and said, ‘I’m going to get this phone back.’, mentioned.
That is resistance! While our cell phones fall to the ground and already die … Anyway, hypocrisy! Kkkk
