The qualification to the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Cup yielded more than R $ 11 million to Ceará. By eliminating Santos on Wednesday (4), Vovô advanced from the stage and obtained another R $ 3.3 million in revenue, totaling R $ 11.38 million. The team also has a nine-game unbeaten streak in the tournament.

The black and white interval without losses resides since 2019. On the occasion, the team beat Corinthians 1-0, in Itaquera, for the 3rd phase. The scope of invincibility is then completed with: victories against Bragantino-PA, Vitória-BA (2x) and Brusque-SC (2x), in addition to draws with Oeste and Santos.

It is a fact: Guto Ferreira’s team grows in the knockout and thus won the Northeast Cup title undefeated this season. In historical context, it’s a return to the quarterfinals for the third time – achieved the feat in 1993 and 1997, with different regulations.
