The latest consolidated balance, published at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday (15), registered 182,854 deaths (915 of them confirmed in the last 24 hours so far) and 6,974,258 cases (44,849 in the last 24 hours so far). Since then, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul, Pernambuco and Tocantins have published new data.
The number of new deaths recorded on Tuesday (915) is the highest since September 16, when 967 deaths were recorded in 24 hours (926 deaths were recorded on November 12, but at that time, the death registration system Health Ministry deaths were experiencing problems and there was a backlog of many deaths).
The moving average of deaths in the last 7 days was 667, the highest value since October 2, and an increase of 25% from the average of two weeks ago, indicating an upward trend in deaths by the disease in the country.

Data on cases and deaths from coronavirus in Brazil were obtained after an unprecedented association between G1, O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, which began to work, from June 8, in a collaborative way to collect the necessary information in the 26 states and the Federal District (know plus).
