See consolidated figures:
- 127,571 confirmed deaths
- 4,165,614 confirmed cases
On Tuesday, at 8:00 p.m., the balance indicated: 127,517 confirmed deaths, 516 in 24 hours. As a result, the moving average of new deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 691 deaths, a variation of -26% compared to the data recorded in 14 days.
After Saturday (5), this is the third time that the moving average of deaths has shown a downward trend since June 5, and the first in which the fall exceeds 20%. According to the consortium’s criteria, variations of up to 15%, more or less, are considered indicative of stability. Understand the criteria.
In confirmed cases, there were 4,165,124 Brazilians with the new coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, of which 17,526 were confirmed this Monday. The moving average of cases was 30,333 per day, a variation of -19% in relation to the cases registered in 14 days.

The new numbers of cases and deaths tend to fall during the weekends and Mondays, due to the temporary reduction of the teams that make these registries. This tends to be offset by higher figures during the week. In that way the long holidays this Monday (7) may have further influenced the decline in recent days.
Only one state has a high death rate: AM. In relation to the second (7), RS, SP and TO had the number of stable deaths, according to the moving average, and now they are falling. MT and AC seemed to drop and are now stable. RR went up and is now trending down. In AM, there is still a reflection of the reclassification of deaths from previous months, of which more than 200 were revealed with Covid as the cause in recent weeks.
See the situation for all states:
- Top (1 state): A.M
- In stability, that is, the number of deaths did not decrease or increase significantly (7 states): PR, MG, MS, MT, AC, PA and CE.
- Falling (19 states): RS, SC, ES, RJ, SP, DF, GO, AP, RO, RR, TO, AL, BA, MA, PB, PE, PI, RN and SE.
This comparison takes into account the average number of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance compared to the average recorded two weeks ago (understand the criteria that G1 uses to analyze pandemic trends).
