The consortium of press vehicles published a new survey of the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil based on data from state health departments, consolidated at 1 pm on Sunday (7).

Since the last balance, at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday (6), 5 states have updated their data: CE, GO, MG, MS, RS.

See consolidated figures:

  • Deaths: 231,234
  • Cases: 9,504,996

On Saturday (6), at 8 p.m., the country registered 942 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, reaching the 231,069 total deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. With that, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 1,014. 17 days have passed with this average above the 1000 mark. The variation was -2% compared to the average of 14 days ago, which indicates a trend towards stability in deaths from the disease.

In confirmed cases, since the start of the pandemic 9,492,725 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 43,637 of those confirmed on the last day. THE moving average in the last 7 days was 45,362 new diagnoses per day. This represents a variation of -12% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates a trend towards stability in diagnoses.

Eight states have a high death rate: PR, AC, PA, RR, BA, CE, MA and PI.

  • Total deaths: 231,069
  • 24-hour death record: 942
  • Average number of new deaths in the last 7 days: 1,014 (change in 14 days: -2%)
  • Total confirmed cases: 9,492,725

  • Average number of new cases in the last 7 days: 45362 per day (change in 14 days: -12%)

This comparison takes into account the average number of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance in relation to the average registered two weeks ago (understand the criteria used by the G1 to analyze pandemic trends).

It is worth mentioning that there are states in which the low average number of deaths can lead to large percentage variations. The moving average data is generally in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate the presentation of the data.

Balance of vaccination against Covid-19 this Saturday (6) indicates that Brazil has already applied 3,551,611 doses, according to data published until 8 pm. The second dose has already been applied to 20,277 people.
