Brazil has 188,681 confirmed coronavirus deaths as of 1 pm on Wednesday (23), according to a survey by the consortium of press vehicles based on data from state health departments.
Since the balance of 8 pm on Tuesday (22), eight states have updated their data: CE, GO, MG, MS, PE, RN, SP, TO.

On Tuesday (22), at 8 pm, the balance indicated 188,285 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. As a result, the moving average of deaths in Brazil in the last 7 days was 776. The variation was + 21% compared to the average of 14 days ago, indicating an upward trend in deaths from the disease.
In confirmed cases until Tuesday (22) at 8 pm, 7,320,020 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus. The moving average in the last 7 days was 49,395 new diagnoses per day, the highest value since the beginning of the consortium. This represents a variation of + 18% in relation to the cases registered in 2 weeks, which indicates an upward trend in diagnoses.
13 showed an increase in the moving average of deaths: PR, RS, ES, MG, MS, MT, AM, PA, RO, AL, PB, RN and SE.

Data on coronavirus cases and deaths in Brazil were obtained after an unprecedented association between G1, O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, which began to work, from June 8, in a collaborative way to collect the necessary information in the 26 states and the Federal District (know plus).
