Brazil has 187,685 confirmed coronavirus deaths as of 1 pm on Tuesday (22), according to a survey by the consortium of press vehicles based on data from state health departments.

Since the balance of 8 pm on Monday (21), seven states have updated their data: CE, GO, MG, MS, PE, RN and SP.

On Monday (21), at 8 pm, the balance indicated 187,322 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic. With that, the moving average of deaths in the last 7 days was 769 – value that is equal to the average recorded on September 18. The variation was + 25% compared to the average 14 days ago, indicating an upward trend in deaths from the disease.

In the confirmed cases as of 8 p.m. Monday, there were 7,264,221 registrations, 26,871 of which were confirmed on the last day. The moving average of cases in the last 7 days was 47,830 new diagnoses per day. This represents a variation of + 17% in relation to the cases registered in two weeks, which indicates an upward trend in diagnoses.

14 showed an increase in the moving average of deaths: PR, ES, MG, RJ, MS, MT, AC, PA, RO, AL, CE, PB, RN and SE.
