The situation was repeated on the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema, Arpoador and Copacabana. The decree published by the municipal administration says that only individual sports are allowed until April 4, either on the sand or at sea.

For example, the practice of running and walking is authorized, with the use of a mask. Swimming and surfing are also allowed. Nevertheless, it is forbidden to sunbathe and the sea.

Leisure areas have also been prohibited on the beaches of the South Zone and Aterro do Flamengo, which traditionally take place on Sundays and holidays.

The Government of Rio established, last Wednesday (24), the minimum restrictive measures that must be adopted during the period of anticipation to the holidays.

Municipalities, however, have autonomy to adopt stricter rules, such as Rio and Niterói.

Among the determinations of the acting governor, Cláudio Castro (PSC), to contain the progress of Covid is the prohibition to remain on the beaches of the entire state.

Wanted by G1, the Municipal Public Order Secretariat (Seop) reported that it has been carrying out inspection actions throughout the city and fines those who violate the municipal decree.

“The City Council continues to carry out its inspections, not only in the periphery, but throughout the city. Today, we have already carried out operations on several beaches in the city, with fines applied by those who evaded the decree ”.
