The next game in the franchise would have connections to Black Ops, but it would not be a continuation.

A new rumor claims that the new Call of Duty to be launched by Activision in late 2020 will take place during the Vietnam War, being part of the same Black Ops universe.

According to the information revealed by the channel. TheGamingRevolution – which hit CoD Infinity Warfare and Warzone related leaks -, the game will bring the Cold War as a starting background, even leading to conflict in Vietnam.
