Caixa has been working to mitigate some problems with registering emergency aid recipients, state bank president Pedro Guimarães, during an online live interview with Value this Friday
According to the executive, “we registered almost 50 million people, but a significant volume was not approved for various reasons.”
As president of Caixa, Dataprev has analyzed the problems presented in the registry and will resolve technical difficulties.
“We are constantly updating the application. And since Friday, those who had a problem with Federal Justice can register, there are 12 million people.”
Guimarães also foresees a great movement in the physical points of service. “We will have an intense movement of payments. Therefore, we put 3 thousand more security guards on the street. There were problems in some agencies. It is improving. We know, we are sorry, but it is a volume never seen before.”
According to the president of Caixa, 60% of the people who went to the agencies answered questions. Guimarães also classified the initiative as the “largest social inclusion program, with 30 million who will have a free digital account.”
According to the executive, the bank has already opened 15 million digital accounts for people “who never had credit and an account and are in doubt.”
50 million registered
Caixa Econômica Federal registered almost 50 million people registered in just over two weeks to receive emergency aid of R $ 600, he said. “Meanwhile, we have already paid 36 million Brazilians.”
According to the president of Caixa, there are three large groups of beneficiaries of the aid: registered in Bolsa Familia and single registry, “which already has a base of 75 million people in the Ministry of Citizenship.” “Of these, we will pay by the end of next week, about 30 million people.”
In addition to the two aforementioned bases, the bank also launched an application to register informal persons who are not in these bases.
“The difference is informal, MEIs, freelancers, who were not in any government base. We created this base with an application and on the website that has almost 50 million registered people.”
The executive listed a series of actions that the bank has carried out to combat the economic effects of the coronavirus. According to Guimarães, the institution launched a R $ 43 billion real estate financing program, with a three-month grace period for both the buyer of the new property and the selling company.
Guimarães cited the new retirement for workers with an FGTS account starting in June, of R $ 1,045. Furthermore, “this Monday we announced a partnership with Sebrae to offer R $ 7.5 billion for microcredit.”
