The aid will run until December

President Jair Bolsonaro announced on Tuesday 1 that the payment of emergency aid will be extended for four months, that is, until December, for the amount of R $ 300 per month. Half of what is currently paid.

However, for this to happen, the extension of the aid must be made official by deputies and senators in the National Congress through approval through a provisional measure.

According to the president, the new value is often not enough for all needs, but it basically delivers. The amount of R $ 300 is slightly higher than 50% of the amount of Bolsa Família. “So we decided here, even taking into account the economy due to fiscal responsibility, to set it at R $ 300,” said Bolsonaro.

During this year, the federal government allowed the payment of five installments of R $ 600 to beneficiaries who met the rules to receive aid. The objective was to provide financial support to low-income Brazilians, informal workers, individual micro-entrepreneurs, mothers who are heads of households, unemployed and self-employed.
