The president of the Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães, announced this Tuesday 29 that 500 thousand new beneficiaries will receive emergency aid. This group, whose registration has already been approved, will be included in the existing payment schedules.

To date, emergency aid has benefited 67.2 million Brazilians and has cost the public coffers about R $ 214 billion. “With the new inclusions, the total number of people who receive or have already received emergency aid will be 67.7 million people, ”said Guimarães.

That amount can still go up. This is because, according to Caixa, there are 55.7 thousand Brazilians in the first analysis and 231.6 thousand in re-analysis to receive the benefit. In total, more than 110 million Brazilians signed up for the aid. “About seven out of 10 adults in Brazil registered, and 44.4 million were considered ineligible, ”says the bank’s president.

The Ministry of Citizenship and Dataprev (Social Security Information and Technology Company) are responsible for the analysis for the granting of the benefit. Agencies can block aid payment for inconsistencies in records.

Extension of emergency assistance

Guimarães also commented on the extension of the aid, and stated that the beneficiaries will receive installments of R $ 600 or R $ 300 until December. “All persons who meet the eligibility requirements will receive in an orderly manner, in accordance with birth month and the new calendar ”, he points out.

However, the president of Caixa points out that the release of the new installments of R $ 300, which will begin to be deposited on Wednesday 30, will only be made after receipt of the fifth installment emergency help. “Whoever is in this cycle receiving the fourth installment, will only receive extension help next month,” explained Guimarães.
